About Me

My name is Carissa Fowler. I am a life long native of Ohio. I have lived here my entire life. I grew up in a the small town of Amelia. I married my best friend in 1987. I have 3 beautiful children. Racheal who is 33, Courtney 24 and Kyle Patrick who is forever 15. I also have 2 beautiful Grandchildren, Alexander and Natalie. I now reside in a small country town about 45 miles east of Cincinnati. I enjoy the simplicity and peacefulness of living in the country. In my spare time I enjoy Gardening, Painting, Writing and spending quality time with my grandchildren.

I am a Grief Coordinator and I'm currently studying to be a Grief Specialist. I have dedicated my life to bringing hope and comfort to grieving parents. I have created and facilitate, Parent Bereavement Groups on Facebook. I also have a public community page for Inspiration, thoughts and hope. I work closely with a lot of members on a one to one basis. I am currently involved with "The Compassionate Friends" organization, in organizing and creating a post to facilitate in my local area.

I find great reward in my work. Its very Inspiring to me when I can make a difference in someones day. Or bring enlightenment to them during such a tragic and painful time if their life. As I grow into my idenity after grief, I would like to thank my family and friends for thier support and encourgement. I would like to say a special thank you to Jenetta Barry; my Mentor and friend. For all of the encouragement, guidance and love that she has shown me. Thanks to all the parents out there that have allowed me into thier lives, you have all touched my heart in so many special ways. You have all given me more than you will ever know. And, finally ...
